Our mobile apps carry with them the result of extensive research we do with language technology. Word prediction, auto-correction, transliteration and lookup dictionaries are some of the components we build to help users easily produce content in their respective languages. We provide some of these apps for FREE to promote usage and strengthen the technology behind them. Feedbacks we receive from users greatly contribute towards sharpening our approach and improving our products. Our efforts have won national awards from government institutions and prestigious recognitions from international literary movements.
In addition to producing our own apps, we also partner with other organisations to jointly develop apps based on their content. One such app is Lifco-Sellinam, which is a digital version of ‘Tamiz Peragarathi’, a Tamil-English dictionary from Lifo Books Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, India. We added our Anjal Keyboard component to this app to enable users to progressively search for Tamil words using the standard Latin keyboard.
Another app in our collection is MobileJawi. A project funded by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). This app incorporates on-the-fly transliteration between Rumi (Latin script for Malay orthography) and Jawi (Arabic script for Malay orthography), allowing users to compose text in Jawi on any Android app.
